Nasal Spray Cartridge Overview

Nasal spray cartridges are prefilled primary containers designed for use with nasal spray pump actuators. The cartridge format determines fill volume, dose per actuation, and compatibility with the peptide formulation. ShiLai™ Healthcare produces nasal spray cartridges for OEM partners as part of the nasal spray development programme.

All cartridge systems are supplied for research and OEM development purposes. No therapeutic claims are made.

Cartridge Formats

Single-Chamber Nasal Spray Cartridge

Prefilled single-chamber cartridge for stable aqueous peptide solutions. Compatible with standard nasal spray pump actuators. Suitable for multi-dose research formats.

  • Aqueous peptide solution
  • Standard pump actuator compatibility
  • Multi-dose format
  • Fill volume on enquiry

Dual-Chamber Nasal Spray Cartridge

Dual-chamber cartridge separating lyophilized peptide from solvent. Mixing occurs at point of use. Suitable for peptides with limited aqueous stability.

  • Lyophilized peptide + solvent chambers
  • Point-of-use mixing
  • Reduced aqueous degradation
  • Chamber volumes on enquiry

Fill Specifications

Fill volume, peptide concentration, and dose per actuation are defined per project based on the peptide, intended research application, and device compatibility requirements. Specifications are provided following project brief submission and formulation consultation.

Actuator Compatibility

Nasal spray cartridge compatibility with pump actuators is assessed based on container neck finish, pump stroke volume, and formulation viscosity. We work with standard nasal spray actuator formats used in research supply and advise on compatibility during the development process.

Packaging Integration

Cartridge selection depends on formulation properties, material compatibility, device architecture, filling requirements, and intended project specifications. Packaging integration — including secondary carton, labelling, and documentation — is coordinated as part of the OEM development workflow.

Prototype Testing

Prototype cartridge assemblies are tested for container-closure integrity, compatibility with the pump actuator, and formulation-container interaction under defined test conditions. Test results are specific to the tested configuration and conditions; no generalised performance claims are made.
