How Dual-Chamber Cartridges Work

A dual-chamber cartridge contains two separate compartments within a single cartridge body. The front chamber holds the lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide powder. The rear chamber holds the reconstitution diluent. A bypass stopper separates the two chambers during storage and shipping.

At the point of use, the user activates the pen mechanism to displace the bypass stopper, allowing the diluent to flow into the peptide chamber and reconstitute the lyophilized powder. The resulting solution is then ready for injection.
